Merchant Acquiring


Scott Calliham is a Principal in the Merchant Acquiring practice area. Scott advises clients on a full range of tactical and strategic matters including new acceptance markets, pricing and retention strategies and tactics, product research and strategy including e-commerce and mobile issues, and M&A transactions (both buy-side and sell-side). Recent engagements include assisting in the diligence and buy-side of several mid-to-large acquirers, evaluating new value-added services to merchants, providing valuation assistance for portfolios and going concerns, developing sales strategies for large acquirers, helping to understand potential impacts of external events (e.g., industry regulation, partnership formation) and strategies and tactics for response, B2B and e-commerce research and growth strategies, and evaluating acquiring partners for national and regional banks and contract negotiations.

Scott currently serves as the ETA industry liaison working with the ETA’s Processor Council to help guide the industry and national policy of the ETA.
